Wallaby are a general term for macropod species which are smaller than kangaroos.

Wallaby are native to Australia as well as nearby islands.

Wallaby are herbivorous animals and their main food are grasses and plants.

All Wallaby are marsupials or pouched mammals in which offspring are born tiny and undeveloped.

After a gestation period of 30 days, Wallaby mother gave birth to a blind and naked baby wallaby or ‘joey’.

Joey will climb into its mother's where it suckles and continues to grow for 8 to 9 months. Even after the Joey has left its mother's pouch, it will jump in whenever it senses danger.
